The comic above is originally written in Thai. Express my thought about the rise of gadgets era in Thailand(and I think most of the world too), that take all of our attention from everything else.
Everytime when I went home by subway, I saw a lots of people (1:2 ratio) chatting with their friends via Blackberry, listen to music in iPod, play games in their portable device, and looks like they just forget completely about the surrounding and immersed with their electronic gadgets.
I often wondered that if anything wrong happened, will they react in time?
Maybe some of us think confidently that we can react in time if anything wrong happened, or someone heroic enough can stop it before the situation gone worse, you know, like in the movie.
Speaking of it, we often console ourselves with words like 'I think something bad like that won't happened today!'
But I think the real situation is different, it's not like other people don't want to help, but they also worry about themselves too. It's human nature.
In the end, it's all up to us to take care ourselves.
Blackberry is really popular in Thailand, not as corporate cellphone, but as fashion phone instead(in the same position as iPhone) Most of BB users are teenagers and office workers, which use BB Messenger to chat with their friends circle, ALL THE TIME.
Maybe it's the same in your country too?
P.S. Well, I want to add that it's not just Blackberry, but any electronic things.
